Men's Ministry

Men's Ministry at CCC exists to equip men to know Christ and make Him known. We seek to accomplish this by developing men to fulfill their God-ordained roles as leaders in the home, servants in the church, and witnesses to the world, by providing biblical instruction, fostering genuine fellowship, and encouraging humble service.

2 Timothy 3:16–17, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (ESV).

Biblical Instruction
In addition to the weekly instruction from God's Word during our Sunday morning worship service, we seek to train men through various bible studies to know God's "breathed out" Scriptures that they may be "complete, equipped for every good work." Scripture provides all we need for life and godliness (2 Pet 1:3) and must be at the center of the formation of a man of God.

Genuine Fellowship
Christian fellowship is based on our union with Christ (Eph 4:4–6) and placement into the body by the baptism of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:13). As such, it differs from worldly fellowship in its source and purpose. Hebrews 10:24–25 explains in part what genuine Christian fellowship looks like. “And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

Humble Service
When men are committed to serving God, they will first serve their families and then serve the body of Christ. Our hope is to see men leading with Christlike humility in the home and obeying the many "one-another" commands of the New Testament in the church. As that happens, men will be effective witnesses to the world as Jesus said in John 13:34–35, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (NASB 1995).
