About Women of God Training Institute - Bible Survey (2025-2026)

Women of God Training Institute
Titus 2:3-5

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.”

Purpose: Keeping with Titus 2:3-5, the Women of God Training Institute (WGTI) is designed to teach, disciple, and develop women to be mature, equipped, and exemplary women of God for the glory of God and the good of their marriages, families, church, and community.

In order to be a helpful counselor to their husband, a faithful teacher to their children, an exemplary discipler to other women, a skilled member of their church, and a bold witness in their community, women must accurately know, understand, and apply the Word of God.

Curriculum: Therefore, this three-year training institute will seek to develop women who know the Word, understand the Word, and apply the Word. Year one is Old and New Testament Survey in order to know the Scriptures. Year two is Systematic Theology in order to understand the Word and its significance. Year three is Practical Theology and Biblical Counseling in order to apply the Word in one’s life, home, and the lives of others.

Meetings: Each year of WGTI will consist of two semesters, Semester One from August through December and Semester Two from January through May. The training will take place each Wednesday from 4:00-5:45pm in Room 26 of the Christian Education Building. Once a month from 5:45-6:30pm, dinner will be provided for the whole family, encouraging family time and fellowship.

Expectations: In 2 Timothy 2:15, Timothy is reminded that the accurate handling of Scripture requires diligence and hard work. For the Christian woman to be faithful in her role and calling, she will need to be disciplined, be consistent, and persevere in the strength of the Lord.

WGTI will expect you to develop a vital and consistent devotion to the Lord Jesus through the spiritual disciplines of study, prayer, memorization, meditation, and fellowship. You will be asked to faithfully attend training sessions, complete reading assignments, be ready and actively participate in class discussions, and increasingly grow in service to the local church.

Class Time: The life and ministry of a woman of God is anything but static. Spiritual disciplines must be woven into a busy and dynamic life packed with the duties of a wife, the responsibilities of a mother, the tasks of keeping a home, the time and commitments of work, the calling to serve the local church, and the interpersonal relationships within each of these spheres.

Therefore, the class setting and learning environment will reflect this dynamic. Each meeting will consist of challenging discussion, moments of corporate, individual, and partner prayer, lectures and instruction, situational and practical application, and quizzing and sharpening.
